Hinds and yearling hinds

Hinds with their fawns can be transported if the fawn is older than 3 months.

Hinds without fawn should transport after the weaning, before the rut, or fertilized hinds after the rut (but we suggest from December) until to mid-March.

Breeidng and trophy stags

Some stags are aggressive during the rut; furthermore we prefer to transport them from mid-November to mid-February without antler (from antler cutting to casting). If the new antler started to grow already we don’t suggest transporting the animals. Antler casting is depends of on the age of the stags. Antlers are cut in mid-August usually. The younger stags cast later, so they can be transported until early March.

Trophy stags can be transported after antler shedding to mid August (in a two week intervall).

Fawns

To transport the female fawns the best time is from the weaning to then mid-July of the next year. We sell male fawns and spikers only in exceptional cases.

We suggest transporting the male fawns after the weaning (mid-August) to mid-December.
